Stack Depth Changes Everything

Two players with the same cards and the same opponent should play the hand differently at 30 big blinds and at 200.

Stack depth sets how many streets of betting exist, which turns hand values upside down: implied odds hands (small pairs, suited connectors) need deep money behind to pay off their rare big hits, while one-pair hands prefer short stacks where nobody has room to outplay them or fold them out.

The measuring stick is SPR (stack-to-pot ratio): the stack behind divided by the pot on the flop. Low SPR (under 4): commit with top pair and better. Medium: the poker gets hardest, every street is a real decision. High SPR (10 plus): big pots want big hands; one pair wins small pots and loses big ones.
