Default to raise-or-fold when the pot is unopened to you (limping invites the big blind in with position for one bet), and defend against steals more tightly than the big blind would: the same wide steal ranges attack you, but you play the whole hand out of position with a third player still live.
Postflop, lead your strong hands into multiway pots rather than getting fancy with check-raises; low-stakes fields punish passivity from the blinds.
