Depth against a TAG rewards exactly one thing: hitting big hands against a player disciplined enough to pay you only when they also have one. The edges are thinner than against the loose villains, and the punishments for stubbornness are bigger.

Speculate more, station less
Suited connectors, suited aces, and pairs go up in value against a TAG deep: their opening ranges are real, their postflop discipline means you win big pots when you hit and lose small ones when you miss. What does NOT improve deep is calling down with one pair; a TAG betting three big streets at 200bb has beaten top pair essentially always.
Their raises scale with the money
A TAG turn check-raise at 100bb is strong; at 250bb it is nuts-adjacent. The deeper you play, the earlier you release overpairs and top pair against their aggression, and the more your own raises should mean it too: TAGs notice sizing stories and fold correctly, so bluff-raise the boards that favor you and never the boards that favor them.
Initiative matters less deep
Against a TAG at depth, the c-bet-and-give-up cycle is worth less because the pots that matter are decided on turns and rivers. Plan hands around the big streets: which runouts let you triple barrel, which let you raise, and which turn cards tell you the hand is over.

Depth turned a snap-commit into a navigation problem; respect it.
